Coaching Objectives

Sometimes when the ball is lost it puts the team in danger from a counter attack so players must practice recovery sessions to stop the counter attack before it does any damage.

For this drill you need an area 20 x 10 yards – put a pair of cones 6 yards apart at the far end and another pair of cones five yards nearer the goal. You need 8 players and a server, balls, bibs, cones and a goal.

 

Drill Setup

  • 8 Players
  • 1 Goals
  • 4 Bibs
  • 12 x 10 y
