When passing the ball to a team mate players should be moving to support the pass with runs off the ball to create 2v1 situations with overlapping and underlapping runs.
You want to see your forwards bringing the midfielders into the game with supporting runs, movement to lose their markers.
Teams need to be able to build up play from the back and play good passes into the attacking players.
This drill improves play in wide areas and gets fullbacks to join in the attack. Overloads help the success of the drill with the fullbacks developing attacking instincts.
