This warm-up improves players' skills and movement. It encourages using both feet and quickly changing direction.
Working with passing under pressure players learn to move to help receive and to control passes. It also needs good communication and scanning so passing can be fast and accurate.
Split the area into three so they are 5 yards deep. Set up so you have a player at each end of the pitch – these can be goalkeepers – and two players in each of the end zone. These players keep possession. In the central zone are two pressing players.
Your team needs to not only have the ball, but find ways to use it productively, building creative opportunities.
