Encourage wingers to cross and aim for an area rather than a specific player. The wingers start position will, more often than not, determine which option they should take. If in tight areas less touches and one touch interplay is the better option. If the winger takes a wider position and has time to take a touch, then the better options are for the byline pass or quickly whipped cross.

Interactive Challenges

Crossing Accuracy Challenge: Track the number of successful crosses delivered into the penalty area and set a target for improvement. One-Touch Finishing: Challenge attackers to score with a one-touch finish from crosses or cut-backs. Opposite Wing Play: Allow wide players to switch sides after each phase to practice cutting in and crossing with both feet.
