A two-team transitional game that engages players, pushes their fitness at the end of sessions and is fun.

Coaching Objectives

Testing players ability to go from attack to defense. - Improve players understanding or spotting potential threats before they are threats. - Technique: Finishing, defending 1v2, recovery running.

The golden moment of this activity is when the second player for the attacking team not shooting starts trying to cut out the next pass before his teammate has even shot.

 

Drill Setup

  • 2x6 Mins
  • 12-20 Players
  • 2 Goals
  • 10 Bibs
  • 30 x 50 yd y

What the Players Do

Split into two teams the with one player from each team acting as a server at their side of their own goal. The game is 2v2 with constant rotations. Players line up on either side of the halfway…
