A transition-based attacking and defending practice developing 1v1 confidence, diagonal combinations, recovery runs, decision-making and directional finishing under pressure.
Develop players’ ability to beat an opponent in a 1v1, recognise when to combine diagonally, and transition into a 2v2 attacking situation. Attackers must exploit space and work together to score in a designated goal, while defenders react to changes in possession, recover quickly and exploit opportunities to counter-attack towards either goal.
The practice encourages players to recognise numerical situations, make decisions at speed, defend responsibly and understand how their actions change when possession is won or lost.
