This move is designed to show that the throw-in must be seen as a positive attacking option and not just a way of getting the ball back into play. Spread hands wide either side of the ball, just below the centre Taker plants leading leg, moves the ball behind their head and whip the ball over the head releasing it just after it clears the head Front foot must be behind or touching the line with the back foot touching the ground – I get my players to drag the toes of their back foot which helps keep them within the rules.
