Players need to be controlling the ball with one touch then turning and making an accurate pass with the other foot. The foot should cushion the ball as it is in the air when it comes so that it does not bounce off the foot and go out of the box.

Players should try to finish by taking into account the goalkeeper's position and the best place to put the ball. Players should always be alert for rebounds and poor clearances.

Timing of the pass is key to how the player receives the ball whether a through ball for the player to run on to or a switch of play. Pay attention to the passes and the speed which the ball circulates at. Never lose control over the speed of the ball, speed up or slow down the ball’s speed.

Support is key and players should consider when to support from in front and when to support from behind and out wide. How does this change the way we pass into feet and into space.
