Passing should be with the inside of the foot which is more controllable, run or dribble with the ball keeping the head up to scan the pitch and see where teammates are.

Once the attacker has left the defender behind there are decisions to be made about when to shoot or whether the goalkeeper is easier to get around. Once that decision has been made the player can focus on scoring, using the side of the foot not leaning back and hitting with belief.

Dribble towards the goal and get the ball out from under your feet rolling it towards goal. Finish with the inside of the foot.
