It is quite difficult for one striker to press high and try to win the ball so they must try to slow play until a second player can cover

Coaching Objectives

Develop players' ability to apply coordinated high-pressure tactics with two strikers to disrupt the opponent's build-up play and create scoring opportunities.

Having one player pressing could work in small sided games but on a big pitch there needs to be more players.

What the Players Do

Split the area into two zones. A team of three are in each zone with the team of two pressing players in both zones. Add 5 yard zones for the pressing team to score in. The coach plays out…
