We play teams that build up from the back leaving space for the counter attack if the defending team presses high up the pitch. Once they win the ball they can then attack the space left by the defenders and create goal scoring chances.
This drill develops a team’s ability to build from the back under pressure, transition quickly between attacking and defending phases, and react effectively to turnovers. Players will improve composure in possession, recognise moments to counter-attack with speed, and understand defensive recovery responsibilities. The session also enhances decision-making, communication, and tactical awareness in realistic match situations.
