This is a Hexagonal Passing video direct from Cupello's partner Felipe Ragel in Barcelona, Spain. It shows you how to set up, how to play the game and the progressions you need to do. Great for receiving, first touch and passing with your players.

Coaching points

  • Play long passes with speed and short passes should be much softer on the diagonal to make it easier for the ball to be controlled when receiving.
  • Pass to a teammate's back foot
  • Always pass along the ground to make it easier to control when receiving
  • Get players used to scanning over each shoulder before receiving
  • Move before receiving to fake where you will receive the ball to fool a defender
  • Timing of passes and movement is key to the drill
