This drill is a brilliant way to build football fitness during the preseason or top up players fitness in small groups if they are limited for game time. Lots of transitions also allows coaches to develop their principles of play within a practice.

Coaching Objectives

This activity will work on players ability to apply transition principles (each coach will have their own preference and philosophy), and players decisions making around whether to retain possession or look to score. Players will also acquire or retain football fitness with this session able to be used during preseason.

 

Drill Setup

  • 20 Mins
  • 10 Players
  • 4 small Goals
  • 5 Bibs
  • 40 x 30 y

What the Players Do
