This session will allow players to maintain possession and move and exploit spaces between the lines, face forward when appropriate, as well as an opportunity to work on forward movement

Coaching Objectives

This session will look to allow players to decide when to play forward when they have controlled possession, and how to exploit players in the pocket space between opposition lines.

The practice will hopefully allow players to identify where the space is, who should look to exploit it and when. It will develop attacking players ability to better understand how their movements can help create the pocket space, and how they support when the ball is played to a team mate there.

Defenders will have the opportunity to work on when they can be more front footed and look to defend the pocket space, and when they must hold and defend against an overload.

  • 20 Mins
  • 12 Players
  • 2 small goals Goals
  • 5 yellow 5 dark blue 2 light blue Bibs
  • 45 x 35 y
