Balls crossed into the penalty area can be a good source of goals if the delivery is good. Use this practice to get your players crossing with accuracy and clever balls behind the defence. It is a continuous game that your players will love.
Coaching Objectives
- When wide players cross the ball into the penalty area he/she must be aware of where the space is and quickly think about these things:
- Position of the goalkeeper
- Position of the defenders
- Attacking team mates movement
- How best to hit the space – chipped, low and hard, back post near post.
