Keep possession of the ball in a drill using two teams of 4 players and 2 players who act as ‘floaters’ and always play for the team in possession. The overload is always 6 vs 4 in favour of the team with the ball.
Coaching Objectives
- Triangles are the basis of the passing movement
- Players of the same line should be staggered.
- Quick reaction after losing possession.
- Focus on the players’ positioning, movement and decision-making.
- It is important players get the passes and the speed which the ball circulates at right.
- Never lose control over the speed of the ball. If players lose control over the speed of the ball chances of losing possession are higher.
