This practice focuses on attackers switching and changing the direction of attack by breaking the central block and defenders blocking the central zone to force wide creating an overload helping to regain possession.

Coaching Objectives

Attackers

  • Awareness – read game
  • Attackers need to show patience in this game as they look to thread the ball through the box and defender
  • Move ball to move defenders…see the forward pass / dribble / run through central zone

 

Defenders

  • Press in unison with teammate/s 
  • See more than only the ball
